| Martin writes... Our first stop in Malawi was the tranquil bay of Nkhata. With the sun setting, and an ice cold beer in our hands we chilled out next to the wonderful Lake Malawi. |

We had heard rumours of the famine that was engulfing Malawi, so whilst driving South we kept an eye out for the draught. Indeed the country is looking very barren and dry - even with a huge water source - anyway, the aid agencies where making the most of the issue by sending in huge convoys of new 4x4s and the odd truck filled with maize!
