The Grand 'Hassan II' Mosque - Casablanca
The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is the third largest religious monuments in the world ... the largest in Africa!  Taking only 6 years to build (1986 to 1993) the project required 10,000 craftsmen and 3,000 labourers to work 24x7 - costing approx USD800m. The mosque can hold 25,000 worshippers and up to 80,000 more can be accommodated in the esplandes around it.  The enormity and grandeur of this monument is truly spectacular!  (Unfortunately the photographs don't do it justice.)
