In 1907, the area, now known
as the Etosha National Park, was sectioned off for a large National park.
In 1955, the name Etosha National Park was assigned to this huge area,
which is one of the largest National Parks in Africa.
The name Etosha refers to
the salt Pans in the area. |

It cost us $60 Namibian
Dollars per day to enter the park (£5), and camping was $240 Namibian Dollars
per night (£20) - which accommodates 8 people. We had a choice of three campsites
within the park... Okaukuejo, Halali and
Namutoni.
