A week after crossing the
border we finally had 40km to do before arriving in the capital of
Mauritania - Nouakchott. The famed route to the capital is along the
beach and so for 40km we travelled along skirting the incoming waves but
not always missing them. |

Tyres set to a low pressure, four-wheel drive engaged we followed Luca &
Sameena onto the beach and headed South. The driving was easy but if
you choose the wrong line you often needed a push to get going again.
