The world gets smaller
Martin writes... the border crossing into Tanzania was hectic!  Trucks, people, officials and the usual border shop-stalls, provided a thorough harassing experience.  'Clearing Agents' (aka tourist touts) swarmed us - all offering their much-needed assistance (hmmm).  Eventually, a little bruised and battered by the hordes, we engaged gear and experienced our first peaceful minute in Tanzania.

Months ago, whilst driving via Morocco to Nigeria with our Italian friends, Luca and Sameena, they mentioned a rendezvous with friends of theirs in East Africa.  Little did we know that we would bump into their friends first...

Arriving at the Kisolanza Farm campsite we noticed a blue Land Rover exactly like ours. The introduction went something like this (immediately as we parked up):

Ricardo: I know you - you are friends of Luca and Sameena! (in a strong Italian accent)
Martin: Yes, do you know them?
Ricardo: We are their friends from Italy and are meeting them in a few days in Malawi.
Martin: Wow, what a small world! Fancy a cuppa tea?

And so the world shrank even more as we exchanged our travels news...
