Ruaha National Park
Debbie writes... teamed up with Ricardo & Daniella, we set off for the Ruaha National Park (second largest in Tanzania). It is off the beaten track and a 'schelp' to get to, but the upside is that you don't have to share the park with hordes of other travellers. (We like game parks all to ourselves!)

Greeted by herds of elephants (Ruaha has the largest population in E.Africa) and hordes of giraffe, impalas, buffalo, kudu, hippos and birdlife. That night we went to sleep with the sounds of Africa - very special! Waking up at 5.30am was soon rewarded by 6 lioness cavorting in the tall grass. Sadly our camera lens was not good enough for pics (honest).
